i am his son jeff born 1940: being very young at the time of his reported demise, I personally have no direct memories beyond climbing onto his lap on one specific occassion.
He was married to my mother Rita (ne Jeffress.) His father was called Micheal and hisd Mother was called Mary.
Dad / Thomas had 3 brothers one younger named George who was badly injured during the "D" day landings and I regret that I have no knowledge of his later life. There were 2 older brothers. Ralph and Harry born to a different mother.
I emigrated to Canada in 1967 in order to complete his dream once the war was concluded. I married Diane (ne Telford) and we produced 3 grandchildren for Tom. Russ Thomas, Philippa Anne , and Vanessa Jane. They in turn have produced 5 great grandchildren. His death was not in vain as all of the grandchildren have excelled in their lives and contributed to society . My Mum Rita had a difficult life as a war widow, and died in 1981 from complications from Rhuematoid Arthritis.
