    Robe Robert A. Mackenzie, age 77, passed away December 3, 2009. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Diane Mackenzie; three sons: Robert S. (Gail), Douglas (Theresa), and Peter Mackenzie; five grandchildren: Pamela and Megan Mackenzie, D.J., Stephanie, and Little Doug Walker; sister, Olga Ayres; sisters-in-law: Olga Mackenzie and Janet Aguilera and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Preceded in death by his son, Christopher; brothers: William and Donald; sister, Dora and granddaughter, Diane Carol. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at Descent of the Holy Spirit Orth. Church, 545 E. 77th Ave. in Schererville, IN with Rev. Fr. Lev Holowaty offciating. At rest at Holy Ghost Cemetery in Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sudnay from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home, 7607 W. Lincoln Hwy, Schererville, IN. (Rt. 30 East of Cline Ave.) Panachida Prayer Service will be held Sunday evening at 6:oo p.m. Mac was a retired East Chicago Fireman and was also retired from St. Catherine Hospital. He was a medic during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Descent of the Holy Spitit Orth. Church. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed road trips, cooking and fishing. Memorial donations may be given to the Descent of the Holy Spirit Orth. Church. Robert's family wished to thank the doctors and health care Robert A.
