Robert A. Menuet was the illegitimate son of Louis F. Galasso of Cobleskill, NY and Mildred Menuet Lapeyrolerie of New Orleans, LA. They met in New Orleans during WWII, where Louis was serving in the US Navy. Subsequently, after he shipped out, Mildred joined the Navy, and after WWII she followed Louis to Buffalo, where he supported her while married to Deloris Galasso. Mildred and Louis Separated about 1951, but Louis continued clandestinely to support his son, Robert, until his graduation from Tulane in 1970. Albert Lapeyrolerie divorced Mildred in 1948, and married Silas Gaines Maddox about 1952, and lived in Gulfport, Mississippi until 1966.
