Robert Arthur Craddock of Seaford, Vic Australia was born on September 22, 1917 to Richard Arthur Craddock and Ellen Jane (Baldwin) Craddock. He married Emily (Perks) Craddock on April 13, 1940, and they were married until Molly's death in 1959. He had children Stephen Craddock, Ann (Craddock) Lewry, and Julia Craddock. Robert Craddock died at age 50 years old in 1967 in Halls Gap.

At the time, the Teapot Dome scandal was seen as "greatest and most sensational scandal in the history of American politics".
