Born in New York City in 1950 to Betty L. Burrell and Robert Gory Sr., Bobby was one of five siblings and grew up in a loving family. He earned the affectionate nickname "Honey" due to his adorable nature. Bobby's time in the United States Air Force was marked by dedication and service. As an Air Cargo Specialist in the 60th Aerial Port Squadron, he played a crucial role in supporting operations during the Vietnam War era. He enlisted on December 10, 1968, and served until November 28, 1969. Though his time in the military was brief, Bobby's commitment to his country and his fellow servicemen was unwavering. His daughter, Monica, remembers him as a strong, kind, and vibrant individual who left an indelible mark on her life. Bobby's memory will live on through his loved ones, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten. He was cremated at McCalls Funeral Home on Prospect Avenue in the Bronx.
