Add Memories, Stories & Photos about Robert

There are very few photos of Robert Truly Branton post-1970 when St. Regis Paper Company transferred him and his family back to Picayune, Mississippi, from Brookhaven, Mississippi. He would not allow immediate family members to photograph his face with one exception which is a photo of him with his two sons, Scott and Mark and a stringer of fish. In the photo Robert is seen wearing sunglasses and would not remove them; he would not say why. There are at least two photos of him posing with whitetail deer he had killed. Those two photos were taken when members of his immediate family were not along for those hunts and the photos were made by non-related work employees who gave copies to at least one of Robert's family members.
Robert attended church with his immediate family members until 1972. He abruptly quit and would not attend church at all preferring instead to watch Robert Schuller and the televangelist with his "Hour of Power" filmed at the Crystal Cathedral. Robert would frequently become angry over his immediate family's attendance of local church services and more than once made the statement that "he had not been invited (by the family) to attend with them.
