Robert Cannon Soulia is the son of John W Soulia (1903-1975) and Helen Cannon (1902-1986). He was born on September 23, 1926 in Proctor, Rutland County, Vermont, USA and had siblings Joseph (1923-1945), Helen Marie (1925-1970), Richard Cannon (1929-1999), and Alice Soulia (1932-2006). He enlisted into the Air Corps on October 20, 1945 and was a Private First Class in the Regular Army. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, retiring in June 1971, after 20 years of service. In 1968, Robert married Vadia Frances Hammett (1929-2000) and worked as a maintenance supervisor at EPIC Enterprises in Ayer, and retired in 1991. He was also a big fan of the Boston Red Sox.
