    I am a daughter in law to Robert. I married Ernst Prideaux in 1977 and of the marriage we have three children, Sara L. Prideaux dob: 9-11-77; Andrew S. Prideaux, dob: 3-29-79; and Daniel Frank Prideaux, dob:5-23-83. Ernst and his brother Frank were adopted by Robert when he married Elfreida Bachmann in Germany while he was in the service. They then came to the USA and were then in Leavenworth Kansas until Robert's death in 1981.

In 1924, in the year that Robert Carl Prideaux was born, on January 21st, Vladimir Lenin, a leader of the Russian Revolution and the first leader of the Soviet Union died. He had survived two assassination attempts but had subsequent physical problems, suffering 3 strokes. He was in such great pain, it is said that he asked Stalin to poison him. The circumstances of his death are still disputed. He did oppose Stalin as the next leader - nonetheless, Stalin won a power struggle and ruled as a Soviet dictator until his death in 1953.

With the support of Canada and the United Kingdom, the Project came to employ more than 130,000 people and cost nearly $2 billion. Julius Robert Oppenheimer, a nuclear physicist born in New York, led the Los Alamos Laboratory that developed the actual bomb. The first artificial nuclear explosion took place near Alamogordo New Mexico on July 16, 1945.
