I `Charles Straub' AKA `Monday'met Robert in 1965, I was in the Military. I met Robert in The Continental on Tazwell Street in Norfolk VA. Robert and I were both gay, we became lovers and moved into an apartment called the Hague Towers in Norfolk VA. We were lovers for three years. Robert was a very handsome man, I was 21 years old and Robert was 25. Robert was my first lover, but I was not his first lover, he had been in a relationship with an older man who was an airline Pilot. My relationship with Robert was always a bit rocky. I ended the relationship when I finished my Military service. I was in the Military from 1965 to 1969, I was the driver for an Admiral. The Admiral and I became good friends, he knew I was gay, but was not concerned. He knew I had a lover. Naval Intelligence also knew that I was gay, but never questioned me. I served my Military obligation for 4 years without incident and received an Honourable Discharge. I was lucky to be the Admiral's driver. I learned so many things.
