Robert David Hahn was born on May 24, 1942 in Holyoke, Massachusetts United States to Carl Hoffman Hahn and Esther Mae Pence, and has siblings Carl Hoffman Hahn Jr., Jo Anna Crockett, Thomas Hahn, and James Frederick Hahn. He married Jeanette Ann Hahn in December 1963 in Pinellas County, Florida, and they were married until Jeanette's death on August 21, 1970. They had children Paula Renee Smith, Carla Ann Parham, and David Kay Hahn. He would also marry Mildred Elaine Hahn on June 6, 1974 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, and they were married until Mildred's death on July 12, 2024. They had children Kathryn M. Hahn, Jared Michael Hahn, Amy Rebecca Christensen, and Joseph Aaron Hahn.
