He was married to Patricia Jean (Schneff) Carlson and they later divorced. He had children Robin Marie (Carlson) Ross, Kristi Sue Carlson, and Constance Lynn (Carlson) Blegen. Robert Carlson died at age 69 years old on March 20, 1996 at VA HOSPITAL in MINNEAPOLIS, HENNEPIN County, and was buried at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery Section 14 Site 614 7601 34th Avenue, South, in Minneapolis.

Introduction

He was my grandfather he raised me. He was like a father to me. I was his first born granddaughter and I was definitely his baby. I remember my grandfather being so loving and also a jokester..We would play war and go fish and he would always cheat lol..He was and is still my world. When he died a piece of my heart died with him. I was and still am very lost without him. I miss him so much. When I was down he would lift me up.. I have nothing but good memories with my grandpa..
