Robert E. Marshall, 92, of 574 Sanford Road Grand Valley, PA., passed away with his wife and pet dog, Fritz at his bedside at 6:00 am on Friday, October 3, 2014 at home. Mr. Marshall was born in Tylersburg, PA on December 3, 1921, the son of the late Emerson E. and Annie (Gilmore) Marshall. He attended Farming Consolidated School in Tylersburg. He served in the Army Air Force from Nov. 1942 to Dec. 1945. He was the first manager and caretaker of the Wesley Woods United Methodist Church camp from 1952 to 1967. He also worked for Warren Electric Coop from 1968 until his retirement in 1984. He was married to Adda Hinkle in 1944 until her death in 1988. He married Betty J. Murray on May 5, 1990 who survives. He built his home and many pieces of furniture. His hobbies were repairing antique tractors, all types of motors, antique furniture and in later years, building wooden toys by looking at pictures. He was a member of Sanford and Tylersburg United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Titusville American Legion. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a Step Daughter: Ruth (James) A. Valone of Russell, PA;a Step Son: Robert (Toni) C. Murray of Corry, PA. Also surviving are 4 step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, William, Arthur, James and Vaughn Marshall; 2 sisters, Harriet Irwin and Alice Marshall. Mr. Marshall was the last member of his family. According to Bob's wishes, there will be no visitation or services held. McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. have been entrusted with all arrangements.
