Robert Francis Kane was born on March 6, 1931 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania United States. He was married to Joan Marie Kane in 1953 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, and they were together until Robert's death on February 14, 1992 in Cinnaminson, Burlington County, New Jersey. He had children Maureen Kathleen Ausura, Daniel Patrick Kane, Francis Clarke Kane, Christopher Alan Kane, Thomas John Kane, and Helen Elizabeth Rosica. Robert Kane was buried on February 18, 1992 in Wrightstown.
