He was a very hard working man. He and Mother fell in love when mom was only 15 & Dad 6 yrs. her senior. This was during the great depression. 1930 the year they met. 1934 , the year they wed. 40 weeks later Robert Louis Rugg was born. 10. 1/2. Mos.later they had their second son, Dennis Gary Rugg. Then a wee breather, as it was as though mom was raising 2 very different twins..In 1945 Mom gave birth to her third son, Bruce Alan Rugg. Four years later in 1949 a fourth Boy was born, Kenneth Gene Rugg , and ; finally in 1954 on July 4th I , Janice Gale Rugg was born. Poor Mom's most difficult birth.I was an incubator baby. I came out pretty fine. But, there were some lingering problems.

He worked as a rum-runner in his young years. He owned a Sinclair gas Station in Detroit, where he & Miom lived then. Then he stepped intp his Father's shoes and became a Mailman. I don't know exactly how long that lasted.
Nexrt he got in at General Motors corporation. A very fortuitous move. Hu was an excellent draftsman. A head for nunbers and spacial design. He went right on up to be an executive for The Fischer Body Division of General Motors.
He also knew how to invest his money. He knew just
