In the 1970's he moved to Phoenix, Arizona and attended Alhambra High School. Robert Uekert served in the US Navy. His service began on March 3, 1976 and he was discharged on March 2, 1979. On December 19, 1981 he married Julieanne Paradis in Montgomery, Texas, USA and the couple was married for three years before divorcing on July 3, 1984.
