He married Gina Leach. He married Kathleen (Sharp) Leach, and they had a child Shannin Leslie (Leach) Twitt. Robert Leach died at age 73 years old on February 18, 2010, and was buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Section 1-IIB Site 686 Sheridan Road, in St. Louis, Mo.

    Leach, Robert Kenneth Beloved husband of Joyce Kathleen (nee Sharp), passed peacefully February 18th, 2010. Born September 25th, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri, graduated Cottonport High School and proudly served his country as a United States Marine. Ken is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce; daughter Shannin (Bill Twitt); son Robert (Gina); granddaughters Alexandra and Gabrielle; sister Jean (Troy) Lewis; brothers Jack (Marie) and Michael; brother-in-law Bill Sharp and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. Preceded in death by his parents, William D. and Margaret, sisters, Margo (Glenn) Stuertz and Elsie, brother William D. Jr. and parents-in-law Clarence and Catherine Sharp. Ken was a member of the St. Charles Marine Corp League Detachment and the St. Louis Chapter FIrst Marine Division Association. Ken retired from United Parcel Service after 34 years of service. Services: The Stygar Family of Funeral Service is caring for Ken's family. Funeral Mon., Feb. 22 at 12:30 p.m. at the STYGAR MID RIVERS Funeral Home, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., (St. Charles). Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. The man, Nathuram Godse, shot Gandhi 3 times. He died immediately. The shooter was tried, convicted, and hung in November 1949.
