Robert Layman of West Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut was born on January 15, 1888 in West Haven. He was in a relationship with Ida M. (Zimmerman) Layman, and had children Shirley H. (Layman) Breitenstein, Chesleigh M Layman, and Virgina J (Layman) Tada. Robert Layman died at age 80 years old in September 1968.
