Robert went into the Army a few years before he turned 18.

Robert had a rough life but he changed his life around and became a wonderful grandfather. He was always doing something to keep himself busy. Whether it was tarring roofs or working on cars or working in the mill. He was “Santa Claus” for many years to Homesteads children.
