Robert S. Terkla is the son of George Terkla (born 1900) and Leone B Terkla (born 1904). Robert was born on January 31, 1927 in Anaconda, Deer Lodge, Montana, USA and had older siblings Helen and Lowis. He enlisted into the US Military on December 9, 1945 and served until his discharge date of December 19, 1946. At age 22, he married Joann J Veozuh on September 19, 1947 in Butte, Silver Bow, Montana, USA. They had children including a daughter Tamera Jo Terkla (1955-2010). Later in life, he married Gloria Lenore Gibson on August 3, 1974 in King, Washington, USA.
