Robert Marvin Willigar of Franklin, Hancock County, ME was born on November 13, 1929 at Home in Parrsboro, Cumberland County, NS Canada to Reginald Maurice Wiligar and Annie Anderson. He was the father of Robert A. Willigar, Wayne A. Willigar, and Linda A. Willigar. Robert Willigar died at age 75 years old on March 19, 2005 at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital 50 Union Street, in Ellsworth, Hancock County, Maine United States.

FRANKLIN – Robert M. “Bob” Willigar, 75, passed away unexpectedly Satur-day, March 19, 2005, at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, the son of Reginald and Annie (Anderson) Willigar. Bob was a tireless worker. He valued hard work and providing for his family. He had worked as a fisherman, on lumber boats, held various positions as a factory worker, and he worked as a cargo elevator operator. He proudly served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. He was a medic in the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 207 in Trenton. During his life, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and his favorite past time was playing Bingo. Bob was predeceased by his brothers, Douglas and Francis; and his sister, Audrey Chappell. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Patricia (Gould) Willigar; his children, Robert, Wayne, and Linda; six grandchildren, Christina, Patrick, Veronica, Randy, Andrew, and ToniAnn; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Gary; and his sister, Joan Beaman. He was well loved in his community and had many friends. He will be missed dearly. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday. Spring interment will be at Bayview Cemetery, Franklin.
