He graduated from high school at Raja Soliman High School in Manila. He went to Far Eastern University as a freshman engineer, but he wasn't able to pursue his career. He was very outstanding at mathematics

He had previously been employed by Radio Communication of the Philippines in Cubao. Additionally, he also worked as chief cook on a cargo ship and held the position of head cook in a restaurant in Kuwait.
Personal Life & Family
He was married to Ligaya Manggubat Malubay, a Filipina from Zamboanga City. They had 3 children, namely Jacinto Malubay Vicquierra, Charlene Malubay Vicquierra, and Arniel Malubay Vicquierra. They first began building their family by living in a family lot in Novaliches, Quezon City, having their first born Jacinto Malubay Vicquierra had a rough time becoming stable. Until Roberto decided to go abroad for the last time to work as a head cook in a restaurant in Kuwait, his journey ended in 2003 due to the harassment he went through there. Moving back to the Philippines, he decided to open a small business in Bagumbong, Caloocan City. Since he is a cook, he started a small carinderia selling his special delicacy at an affordable price. In 2009, his family went through financial instability, forcing their business to close down, and in the same year, he got ill due to his hereditary illness. He was diagnosed with severe diabetes. He was confined to the hospital and got his right foot amputated. However, things were getting worse; different complications arose and made him weaker until he died on the night of July 2011. He was buried at Arkong Bato Public Cemetery. His funeral lasted for 9 days.
