Roger Bollas was born on April 19, 1926 in Provincetown, Barnstable Co., MA. to parents Michael Isaac Assad Bollas (1889-1950) and Angie Veronica Santos (1889-1977). He was one of seven children with siblings Manuel, Mamie, Joseph, John, Ellen, and Richard Santos. He lived in Provincetown, Barnstable, Massachusetts, USA and was a veteran, serving in the US Navy in WWII. He enlisted on April 15, 1944 and was discharged on December 24, 1947. Roger was married twice in his life. He first married Sybil C Mitchell (1931–1978) on April 5, 1948 in Vancouver, Clark, Washington, USA. Their marriage was short and they divorced on October 3, 1949 in Shoshone, Idaho, USA. He then married again on May 23, 1959 in Orleans, Barnstable Co., MA. He and his new wife had three children together including a son Shawn Paul Bollas who did not survive (1959-1959).
