Rose bonetti was a true pioneer, she traveled here by horse and carriage in 1911 with her husband Charles and settled in shingle springs ca , she would make and trade biscuits with the American Indians , they grew all there vegetables and hunted for their meat , she was very knowledgeable in homeopathic remedies, and was also a rock hound when her husband Charles got burned over 80 percent of his body in a accident she herself cared and nursed him back to health , she was a remarkable women beyond any world , beyond words...

Thank you for sharing a piece of Rose Benetti's history. I was one of the many that visited and camped on her property in the 1970s. Always signed her guest book and loved her stories -- which I could remember them. Loved her "museum" of oddities -- bottles with two headed unborn goats, etc. Many good memories.
