    Rose Eliza Robinson was born on October 14, 1855 in Ashby, Geelong, Victoria, Australia to parents William Allitt Robinson (1831-1928) and Eliza Rose (1830-1917). She had siblings George (1857-1928), William (1860-1861), Frances (1862-1946), John (1864-1949), William Allitt (1867-1916), and Alice Robinson (1870-1934). She married Donald McLean (1842-1875) in 1872 in Victoria Australia. They had a daughter Flora McLean (1874-1887). Donald died 3 years after they got married. Rose then married John Edmund Lancaster (1951-1887) in 1876 in Victoria, Australia. The couple had multiple children together. They had Melville (1877-1961), Fanny May (1880-1956), William Percy (1881-1970), John Edmund who lived for 5 years (1883-1888), Leslie George who lived for 3 years (1885-1888), and John Edmund again who also did not survive (1888-1888). The family was residing in Edenhope, Victoria, Australia and Harrow, Victoria, Australia. Rose was married to her second husband John for 11 years before he passed away. She married one final time to Jno Mulrany in either 1890 or 1898 in Victoria and the couple lived in Goroke, Wannon, Victoria, Australia.
