    Rose Lydia Holzman, 87, of Ruthland VT, died suddenly on November 21, 2005. Mrs. Varian was a long-time resident of Bergen County, who moved to Vermont in 1972. She was born in Hackensack on January 12, 1918 and graduated from Hackensack High School in 1935. She married Harry Louis Varian on September 12, 1937 and together they had seven children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Her hobbies included needlepoint. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She is survived by her husband and her seven children: Patricia Marshall, Paramus, NJ; Richard Varian, Park Ridge, NJ; Nancy Varian, Albuquerque, NM; Barry Varian, Jane Varian, Tucketon, NT; Aimee Congdon, Shrewsbury, VT; and Mark Varian, Rutland, VT. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She will be missed more than words can say. The Herald-News (Passaic, New Jersey) Tuesday, November 29, 2005
