Escareno, Cynthia Renee Escareno, Neil E. Escareno, and William Escareno. Roy's partner was Carol Sanchez in 1981 and they later separated. They had a child Celeste Sanchez. He would also marry Angela (Valdez) Escareno on October 7, 1991 in Harris County, TX and they later divorced. They had a child Valarie Valdez (Escareno) Martinez. He also married Yvonne R. (Hutto) Escareno, and they had children Azariah Escareno, Hadassah Escareno, and David J. Escareno. Roy Escareno died at age 64 years old on November 12, 2022 at VA Hospital in Houston, TX, and was buried on November 29, 2022 at Celestial Funeral Home 1922 Strawberry Rd, in Pasadena.

    Roy was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas. He grew up in Pasadena and loved boxing and weight lifting. Staying in physical shape was his number 1 goal. Roy joined the Military service at age 17 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp for 5 years and was a Lance Corporal where he earned a Sharpshooter badges for pistol and rifle, and a Good Conduct medal. Roy traveled with the Marines to California, Hawaii, Australia and Antarctica. He was honorably discharged. Roy continued the ways of the Marine corp with daily running from 5 to 10 miles, cross-training training ,weightlifting and boxing. Roy would quote "Once a Marine always a Marine" Roy loved his God, family and country.

    Roy enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at age 17 and served 5 years.
  • Professional Career

    Roy worked in the Chemical plants as a broiler maker and pipe fitter and was journeyman in his trade. Roy continued working until his retirement in 2020.

    Roy Escareno Jr entered in the arms of Jesus on November 12, 2022 that Saturday morning surrounded by his wife Yvonne Hutto Escareno and children Azariah Escareno, Hadassah Escareno, David Escareno and other family members. Roy was the son of Evangeline H. Escareno and Roy G. Escareno. Roy is proceeded in death by his beautiful beloved mother Evangelina H. Escareno, beloved Brother David H. Escareno and nephew Azariah Escareno, Grandparents Pedro & Geneva Hernandez, Abraham & Antonia Escareno, Great Grandparents Tiburcio & Arnulfa Ramos. Roy was the second oldest and first son. His siblings Diane E. Zamora husband Guadalupe Zamora, Abraham H. Escareno, Vivian Escareno Longoria and husband Ricardo Longoria, David H. Escareno, Cynthia R. Escareno, Neil Escareno and wife Deidra, William Escareno and wife Mary. Michelle A. Postel Salines and husband Tommy, Jennifer D. Barron and husband Jason. Roy children: Celeste Nicole Sanchez, Valerie Valdez Martinez, Azariah Escareno, Hadassah Escareno and David J. Escareno. Roy has a great number of nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. Roy will be greatly miss by family and friends but we will carry his memory in our hearts. He has touched so many lives and his faith in God was his strength. We do not say goodbye but we shall meet again in heaven..
