Roy James Gricar was born to Anthony F. Gricar (1904 - 1961) and Wilhelmina V. Champa (1915 - 1992). He had a brother, Ray Gricar. Roy Gricar married Betty Irene McConnell in about August of 1969 in Dayton Ohio. They had two sons. When Roy died in 1996, he was married to Diane H. The following obituary appeared in The Cincinnati Enquirer on Wednesday, May 22, 1996, on page 24: Roy Gricar, 53, worked at Wright-Patterson 29 years WEST CHESTER - Roy Gricar died on May 10. The Dayton native was 53. Mr. Gricar was a graduate of Gilmour Academy in Cleveland. He was employed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, retiring after 29 years of service. Survivors include: his wife, Diane H. Overman Gricar; three sons, Anthony James and Christopher Lawrence, both of Dayton, Ohio, and Andrew Joseph Gricar of West Chester; and a brother, Ray Gricar of Pennsylvania. Mass of Christian burial will be today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 5400 N. Main Street, Dayton. Interment at Shiloh Park Cemetery, Philadelphia an North Main Street, Dayton.
