Ruth was my grandmother. I was only seven when she died. I only have some vague memories because my parents left New York to start a new life. Ruth was a devout Catholic. Ruth left New York with her two sons during World War Two to make munitions at a factory in Ohio. Ruth had a rough life through the Great Depression and the war. Ruth died of a sudden heart attack but I have few details.
