My mother was born in Effingham Illinois to Alice and Clarence Haney. But was raised by her Aunt Ruby , Clarences sister. Her mother Alice became very ill and was unable to take care of her she was the baby. Her sisters Madonna, Florence, Betty, her brother Tom and Benny,

She married Harold Richard Crosthwaite; they had 8 children, Michael Aron, Ruby Estelle, Richard Oliver, James Leroy, Jay Frank, Madonna Elizabeth Marie, Alicia Ann and Barbara Dora Jean Crosthwaite.
