I'm her granddaughter,daughter of her daughter Theresa Arnett (Effelberg),my memory of my grandmother Ruth is her and my grandfather owning a bar on 56th and Portland in Tacoma,Wash.she ran the bar as manager,owner bartender!for years!

Ruth was a bartender for years at bobs tavern her husband owned, his father had built tavern and several other structures,when he built tavern he built the first bowling alley in Tacoma,it had 3 lanes and pins were set by hand.

My grandmother

She loved her great grandchildren ,my children very much!,I remember as a child me and my cousin's and siblings would have so much fun staying the night at her house,she would let us all make a big bed on the floor and her on the couch we would watch movies all night,and our grandpa loved to irritate her,she would get so mad at him but he would continue making noises while she watched TV,she got so mad us kids laughed and laughed,that is such a strong memory like it was yesterday!
