The discovery of oil made the Osage the "richest group of people in the world" at the time.

In 1903, she was just 9 years old when the Harley-Davidson Motor Company was begun by two childhood friends, William Harley and Arthur Davidson - with help from Arthur's brother, Walter. Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle Manufacturing Company were the only two major motorcycle companies to survive the Great Depression.

In 1932, at the age of 38 years old, Sabia was alive when five years to the day after Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic, Amelia Earhart flew solo from Newfoundland to Ireland, the first woman to cross the Atlantic solo and the first to replicate Lindbergh's feat. In 1954, Sabia was 60 years old when from April 22 through June 17th, the Army v. McCarthy hearings were held. The Army allegations were found to be true. The U.S. Senate later censured McCarthy.
