  • Personal Life & Family

My Grandmother Saima or as I referred to her to others as Grandma Hanson but I just called her Grandma. She was the Mother of my Mother and I loved that woman above all, as I did my Mother Donna, who just passed, and Do my Sister Sarah and did my Fathers Late Mother, Grandma Anne. When I say "did" it's only to state that they passed away not that I still don't love them with all my soul and heart because they were the absolute best ladies anyone could have. I am so blessed to have known all of them and what I would give to have one more day in their presence because they are the best of the best and I cherish and are so thankful for every second I had with each of those absolute amazing ladies of my life and what an honor it was. I love you all so Grandma Hanson, Grandma Anne, and now my late Mommy Donna Jean Hanson Drlaca. Who i will so miss everyday and never stop yearning for and mourning over till I meet them all again in heaven soon enough.

In 1934, by the time she was 16 years old, on June 6th, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission was formed as a response to the stock market crash of 1929 and the continuing Great Depression. Previously, the states regulated the offering and sales of stocks - called "blue sky" laws. They were largely ineffective. Roosevelt created a group (one member was Joseph Kennedy, father of the future President Kennedy) who knew Wall Street well and they defined the mission and operating mode for the SEC. The new organization had broad and stringent rules and oversight and restored public confidence in the stock market in the United States.
