    Birth: Aug. 29, 1935 Wyoming Stark County Illinois, USA Death: May 29, 2008 Peoria Peoria County Illinois, USA EAST PEORIA, IL - Sally Ann Hoshor, 72, of East Peoria, Ill., died at 2:16 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill. She was born Aug. 29, 1935, in Wyoming, Ill., to Arthur Earl and Helen Thiel Eibeck Moats. She married Clyde A. Hoshor on Jan. 26, 1953. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1983, in Peoria, Ill. Surviving are four sons, Clyde A. (Julie) Hoshor Jr. of Kingston Mines, Ill., Douglas T. Hoshor of Creve Coeur, Ill., Gregory S. Hoshor of Creve Coeur, Ill., and Bradley J. Hoshor of East Peoria, Ill.; one daughter, Karla K. (Middie) Paranto of Metamora, Ill.; two brothers, Patrick Moats of East Peoria, Ill., and Mike Moats of Billings, Mont.; several half brothers and sisters; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Hoshor, and one grandson. Sally was a cook at Boundy's Restaurant as well as the Green Gables Restaurant in East Peoria and was a chef at Gebbs Stormy Alcove in Peoria. She was a homemaker, avid reader and a very talented crocheter, which was her specialty. She was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing at the Spoon River and Hennepin Canal. Sally was a loving mother and was very loved by her family. She will be greatly missed. She attended St. Monica's Catholic Church in East Peoria, where a funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 2. Father Mark Miller will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria, with a prayer service at 3:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay. Memorials may be made to TAPS.
