Samuel Herbert Leggett Jr was born on April 5, 1934 in Manchester, New Hampshire United States. Samuel was baptized in June 1934 at Polish National Catholic Holy 122 Walnut Street, in Manchester, Hillsborough County. He was married to Beryl Madeline (Case) Leggett on February 7, 1965 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, and had children Sam Leggett, Paul Lucas Leggett, Lisa Victoria Leggett, and Samantha Ann Leggett. Samuel Leggett died at age 62 years old on April 1, 1997 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire USA, and was buried in 1998 at Loch Ness in Highland Council County, Scotland United Kingdom.

    Samuel was born from a Scot-Irish father (Samuel Leggett) and a Polish mother (Victoria Orzechowski). His paternal lineage is from east of Montreal, Canada to County Wexford in Ireland. His mother's family is from the area of Lulin, Poland.

    Samuel was born and died in Manchester, NH. He travel across the United States to Arizona in search of his father. After finding his father he continued, with his wife and children, searching for the rest of his paternal family line. This quest brought him from Nova Scotia to Hawaii, finding family members along the way.

    I am unsure of which Manchester elementary school he attended, possibly one of the parochial schools. He completed elementary (6th grade) but did not continue on to high school. Later in life, he attended Daniel Webster College for a brief time.

    Like many of the boys of his time, you could almost always find him at many of the Manchester swimming holes like "The Ledge" at the Derryfield quarry or at "The Trestles". Samuel joined the George Washington Masonic Lodge in Manchester, where he was raised to a Master Mason and went on to join the Scottish Rite and the Shriners. Leaving GW Lodge with some of his friends and joining the Bible Lodge, he able to become a Worshipful and Past Master.
