    Services for Samuel Philip Tredway, 89, of Perry, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry, with the Rev. John Grimmett officiating. Burial will be at Lick Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Tredway passed away at 4:30 a.m. June 8, 2010, at Westview Nursing Home in Center. He was born Jan. 14, 1921, in Ralls County, the son of Charles L. and Mary Emily Philips Tredway. He was married to Mavis Lucille O'Brien on Feb. 14, 1943, in Hannibal, and she preceded him in death April 29, 2010. Survivors include one son and his wife, Rick and Janet Tredway of St. Peters; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jill and John Howald of O'Fallon, Tara Tredway of Wentzville, and Brett and Kate Tredway of Lake St. Louis; and six great grandchildren, Carson, Jack, Brooklyn, Chase, Avrie and Chassidy. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Bob (Kitty) Smith. Mr. Tredway was a lifetime area resident and member of South Fork Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Perry High School and then served his country during World War II. He was a self-employed carpenter for more than 50 years. Memorial contributions may be mad to the American Cancer Society. Pallbearers will be Brett Tredway, John Howald, Randy Smith, Denny Smith, Kyle Smith and Danny Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Young, Everett Ray, Gayle Stuart, Jim Gay and Jimmy Day. - Hannibal Courier-Post (MO) - Wednesday, June 9, 2010.
