    Samuel Thomas Claybourne was born on June 6, 1922 in Braxton County, West Virginia, USA to parents George Alexander Claybourne (1891-1957) and Blanche Jane Ratliff (1897-1946). He had siblings Bertha, Clarence Adam, Ray Clinton, and William Thomas Claybourne. He lived in Burnsville, Braxton, West Virginia and Salt Lick, Braxton County, West Virginia, USA. Samuel worked in a coal mine as a coal loader, also worked as a truck mechanic at Stony's Truck Stop in North Jackson, and served in the US Army from October 23, 1945 until June 25, 1947. He was a veteran of World War II. He married Lillian Virginia Gibson (1923-2000) and had children John T Claybourne and David A Claybourne. S.T. Claybourne, Crash Victim
RAVENNA- Services for Samuel T. Claybourne, 47, of 5525 Wayland rd., Paris Twp., who was killed in a car crash Tuesday, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Wood funeral home. Burial will be in West cemetery, Palmyra.

Highway patrolmen said Claybourne was killed when his car pulled in front of a northbound car on Ohio 225 two miles north of Interstate 80-S.

Born in West Union, W. Va., Mr. Claybourne lived in Paris Twp. the last six years. He was a truck mechanic at Stony's Truck Stop, North Jackson, and was a World War II veteran.

He leaves wife Lillian; three sons, John, Lake Milton, David, Palmyra, and Russell, with the U. S. Army, Ft. Campbell, Ky.; three daughters, Mary, Della and Donna, all at home; two brothers, William, Stow, and Ray, Wheeling, W. Va.; sister Mrs. Bertha Barr, West Union, and two grandchildren.
