He had siblings Andrew Robert Barrie, Jane Eva Barrie Barrie, Ernest Stoddart Barrie, and John Barrie. He married Eileen May Laughton Barrie in 1914, and had a child John Douglas Barrie. Samuel Barrie died at age 71 years old circa 1955.
