Although rather quiet most of the time, Mae is the most wonderful person to be around. Often times, she can be stubborn and quite serious. The first time any of her family had seen her cry was at the funeral of an infant great-grandchild who had passed away shortly after birth. She is a very sweet woman deep down, and loved her family more than she had concern for her own needs.

Sara M Schulz September 15, 1923 - December 02, 2019 Sara Mae Schulz, 96, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 at Swedish American Heart Hospital, Rockford, IL. She was born on September 15, 1923 in Lena, IL to Ralph and Iris (Sisson) Stabenow. Sara Married Robert Schulz on December 27, 1942 and he passed away in 1990. She was a member of Lena United Methodist Church. Sara loved spending time with her family and going out to breakfast, this was something she looked forward to everyday. Sara is survived by her two sons; Roger (Kathie) Schulz and David Schulz all of Lena. Eight grandchildren; Laurie Powell of Georgia, Stacey Schulz of Lena, Jeremy Schulz of Beaverton, OR., Robyn (Vicki) Schulz of Stockton, Ryan (Amy) Schulz of Winnebago, Regan (Amy) Schulz of McConnell, Riley (Amy) of Lena, Rory (Bethany) of Lena. Nineteen great grandchildren; Keeley (Evan) Schrader of Freeport, Kiley, Ramsey, and Rawley of Stockton, Taylor and Lauren of Winnebago, Ren, Reyne, Acacia, and Audrey of McConnell, KierraLynn, Rowen, Ryder, Keighlyn, and Kinzley of Lena, R.J., Roran, and Kairi of Lena, and Brittany Robinson of Elpaso, TX., One great great grandchild; Emmett Schrader of Freeport One sister; Norma (Ervin) Klaas of Lena and one special cousin; Dolores Solace of Lena. Preceded by her two brothers; Clair and Robert Stabenow and one great grandchild; Aracelli Schulz. Funeral Service will be on 10:00 am Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Leamon Funeral Home, Lena, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Leamon Funeral Home, Lena, IL. Internment is at the Lena Burial Park, Lena, IL.
