Sarafina "Saddie" Vaccaro Strangis was born in Italy on January 1, 1892 to parents Philomena Trunzo and Agostino Vaccaro. She immigrated to the United States and arrived in New York City on March 17, 1916. She married Francesco "Frank" Strangis (1886-1956) and they had children Josephine Volpini (1917-1986), Joseph F. Strangis (1918-2006), Vera Strangis who did not survive (1923-1923), Elizabeth Secasky (1926-1995), and Samuel Anthony Strangis (1932-2020). On November 25, 1992 Sarafina Strangis passed away and is buried at the New Saint Josephs Cemetery in North Versailles, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
