    Sarah Isabella Mary Bowman was born in 1880 to parents James Bowman (1820-1895) and Lucy Hill (1839-1902). She was born in Sandhurst, Victoria and had siblings Frederick James (1866-1935), Alice (1867-1933), Lucy, George (1870-1870), George Walter (1872-1895), William Henry (1874-1963), David (1876-1955), and Jonathan Bowman (1877-1877). She married William Pearce Chrisfield (1877-1972) in 1903 in Victoria, Australia. The couple lived in Brunswick, Victoria and had children Doris May (1904-1989), Alice Merna (born 1906), William Dudley (born 1908), and James Eric Chrisfield (1915-1915).
