Sarah Maria (McKenna) Diviny was born in 1858 to Michael McKenna and Margaret Penelope (Cooney) McKenna, and had siblings Michael Marcellus McKenna, John McKenna, and Elizabeth Mary (Mckenna) Kerrins. She was in a relationship with Edward Diviny, and had a child James Alipius Diviny. Sarah Diviny died at age 81 years old in 1939, and was buried at Cohuna Cemetery in Cohuna, Gannawarra Shire County, VIC Australia.

The Shepparton Advertiser. 2nd June 1939. OBITUARY. MRS. SARAH DIVINY. In her 81st year, Mrs. Sarah M. Diviny relict of the late Mr. Edward Diviny, of Cohuna, died in the Tatura Bush Nursing Hospital yesterday. Born in Kyneton the deceased lived in Cohuna for many years and in 1914 came to Ardmona where she resided for 10 years before going to Surrey Hills to live. Deceased was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. N. McKenna, of Euroa. Seven of her family of nine; Michael John ( Shepparton ), James ( Kamarah, N.S.W. ), Hubert ( Ardmona ), Phons ( Rutherglen ), Gerald ( Elsternwick), Martin ( Ardmona ), and Leo ( Tatura ), are left to mourn her loss while Justin and Mrs. J. P. Gaffy predeceased her.
