He was married in New Hampshire to Caroline Frost and had three daughters.

    Seldon E. Bowring - truck driver, WWII Veteran SOUTH PARIS - Seldon E. Bowring, 80, died Friday at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway. He was formerly of Portland. He was born in Augusta, a son of George S. and Mary E. Paro Bowring. Mr. Bowring attended schools in Augusta. He was a staff sergeant in the Army during World War II. He was a truck driver for Coles, Hunnewell and Hemingway trucking companies. He was a member of Local 340 Teamsters, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Portland and American Legion in Portland. He was married in New Hampshire to Caroline Frost. Surviving are his wife of South Paris; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Lorraine) Macchio and Mrs. Keith (Pamela) Dobey, both of Florida, and Mrs. Robinson (Cheryl) Cook of South Portland; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held. Arrangements are by the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 24 Fair St., Norway. - Sunday, February 25th 1996 Portland Press Herald
