  • Introduction

    Shirley was born on August 26, 1945 in Nokomis, Illinois. She was a wonderful mother of 3 children, 2 sons and a daughter. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Robert Dean Ritter and survived by Ernest Edwin Bricker III and Kimberly Zebold. She was also a beloved Grandmother to 4 grandchildren: Amber, Pete, Jacob and Eleanor. She lived life to the fullest and was a very unselfish loving mother to her kids. She had a very hard life growing up in the hands of 2 abusive parents but she rose above that and promised that HER children would not suffer like she did. Shirley adored animals, especially dogs and deer which were her two favorite animals of all. She loved living on a farm raising her gardens and tending her livestock, many of which were pets. She very much preferred the quiet country life but enjoyed a social life at times. She passed away Oct. 4th, 2007 at home from complications resulting from COPD. She had been a smoker for 50 years.
