She had a brother Bruce Thomas Ford. She married Stuart Rae Anderson, and had children Judith Marguerite Anderson, Michael Alexander Ross Anderson, and Catriona Lesley Anderson. Shirley Ford died at age 83 years old on November 6, 2011 at Woodend, Victoria, Australia, and was buried circa November 2011 in Kangaroo Flat, Greater Bendigo City County.
