Siegfried treated me like a younger brother. He arranged for me to get a job after I served active duty in the Army. I worked for Siegfried part-time and was inspired by him to get a mechanical engineer degree, which I did. but was never as good as he was.
He had the ability to clearly understand a problem and come up with an elegant solution. I knew he had a rough young life in Germany but he worked hard to provide for his family in Thomaston and his mother in Germany. I miss him and think of him often. He was great fun, too!
