    Simon Corsun was born on May 8, 1918 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Adolph Corsun (1884-1959) and Matilda Corsun (1887-1968). He had siblings George (1907-1994), Lorain (1910-1998). Bertha (1912-1980), Edward (1916-1991), Harry (1921-1997), and Aleen (1926-2005). He joined the military on April 24, 1941 and was discharged shortly after on October 25, 1941. On July 1, 1942 married Margaret Moe (born 1919) in New York City, New York. The couple later divorced in 1946 in Dade, Florida, USA.
