Sir Arthur Seymour Sullivan of the duo Gilbert and Sullivan. Arthur Sullivan was the composer, Gilbert was the lyricist. My grandmother, born in 1908, was a huge Gilbert and Sullivan fan. Their catchy tunes and quick, witty lyrics were loved by many at the time and continue to be popular.
