Dear Mrs. Elliot
in the 1960's I worked together with your husband Simon at Zug, Switzerland. My wife and I fondly remember his visit at our place in Allenwinden, near Zug. - Also, I remember when I had the honour and pleasure to pick up Sir William, your husband's father, at Zurich airport. While he was not in a very talkative mood, I started the conversation with the RAF. His reply was: "war is a silly thing" (how true that still is !). But then we had a pleasant conversation on the town and Canton of Zug. On his next visit, he brought me an original Royal Air Force tie (which I still have). How is your husband ?
