Sophie was my great aunt. She lived close to a movie theater, where I’d go after mowing her lawn. I was about 14-15 when staying at her home for the summer. She passed a few years later in 1982, the year I graduated HS.
She was very generous, as she insisted on giving me five dollars after mowing the lawn. I used the money to see a movie, get popcorn and a soda for less than the 5$. I helped them around the house and we listened to records of music and George Carlin.
I don’t remember much else, except my grandmother Louise Mcgrath, was her sister. Their mother was Hedwig, father Franciszek Olechnowicz.
