    Beloved Son,Brother,Husband,Father,Uncle and the best Friend anyone could ever hope to have.Honorable WWII Veteran.Educator for over 32 years.Earned Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University and Master's Degree from University of MD at College Park.Survived by his loyal wife Georgia to whom he was married for over 52 years and his devoted daughter Jennifer. A Maryland resident for over 42 years.He was highly respected,wonderful,intelligent,determined,and the kindest person I ever met.He is missed painfully by all who were Blessed to know him.Our lives will never be the same nor as good without him.We carry on in his memory with help from the Lord.

In 1927, in the year that Stanley A. Plopa Jr. was born, aviator and media darling Charles Lindbergh, age 25, made the first successful solo TransAtlantic flight. "Lucky Lindy" took off from Long Island in New York and flew to Paris, covering  3,600 statute miles and flying for 33 1⁄2-hours. His plane "The Spirit of St. Louis" was a fabric-covered, single-seat, single-engine "Ryan NYP" high-wing monoplane designed by both Lindbergh and the manufacturer's chief engineer.
Did you know?
In 1943, by the time he was 16 years old, on June 20th through June 22nd, the Detroit Race Riot erupted at Belle Isle Park. The rioting spread throughout the city (made worse by false rumors of attacks on blacks and whites) and resulted in the deployment of 6,000 Federal troops. 34 people were killed, (25 of them black) - mostly by white police or National Guardsmen, 433 were wounded (75 percent of them black) and an estimated $2 million of property was destroyed. The same summer, there were riots in Beaumont, Texas and Harlem, New York.
